The "Kyrenia Movement" was inaugurated during an evening of Theatro Technis' Cyprus Week 1988. The eventual result was the trip to London by the "Kyrenia Choir" which attended a demonstration at Trafalgar Square, handed a petition in to Margaret Thather's 10 Downing Street, and performed an evening at the Shaw Theatre opposite Camden Town Hall.
